Spinning and Weaving Garden Party

Went my first meeting at the Meirionnydd Spinners and Weavers Guild today, a member of
 
Meirionnyd Guild meets every second Thursday in the Llanelltyd Village Hall, Dollgellau. Meetings start at 10am and finish at 4pm

Today's meeting was held at one of the member's gardens in Dolgellau itself.

There were about 18 women sitting in the garden and enjoying the sunshine, participating in a variety of crafts including spinning, weaving, rug making, knitting, lace weaving, etc.

I'll be going to their meetings regularly from now on, and hope to learn to rag rug and weave.

The rest of the year's programme is as follows:
* September 8  - Do your own thing, spinning, knitting, lace, painting, tapestry, etc
* October 13 - Felting tutorial, Helen Melvin
* November 10 - AGM
* December 8 -  Christmas buffet including show and tell plus paper things
